About the award

First awarded in 2016, the AA College Restaurant of the Year Award has been developed in conjunction with our partner People 1st to recognise accredited colleges within the AA College Rosette Scheme that have shown outstanding achievements in a realistic working environment.

Now in its seventh year, the AA College Restaurant of the Year Award celebrates the very best of future talent. Open exclusively to all People 1st International Accredited colleges, each holding an AA College Rosette for culinary experience.

Senara has continued to grow and adapt to meet the local community’s needs since it first received this award in 2022. The restaurant is staffed by students preparing for a career in the hospitality industry, under the watchful eye of industry professionals with years of experience between them. The exciting and varied menu sources fabulous Cornish produce, and makes excellent use of both modern and classic techniques, creating affordable, exciting and delicious dishes. Coupled with a fantastic view of the Cornish coast, this is the perfect venue to enjoy a great meal while supporting the stars of the future.
