Hospitality Awards 2025

AA Restaurant of the Year London

AA Restaurant of the Year London

About the award

Each year the AA independently inspects hundreds of restaurants across the British Isles. Introduced in 2000, this award recognises restaurants that provide cuisine of a truly excellent standard, as well as demonstrating innovation and ambience and providing a high standard of hospitality.

Joséphine, London

From the same stable as Bibendum and Brooklands, Joséphine opened on the Fulham Road in March 2024. It is also the name of Claude Bosi’s grandmother. Bouchons are a part of Lyon history and historically have served traditional French/Lyonnaise crowd-pleasing food. What Claude and Lucy have created here is a wonderful neighbourhood French bistro, with a simple menu that has a special focus on the flavours and dishes from Claude's hometown. While the food is simple, each dish packs a punch in terms of flavour. This is proper soul cooking. The restaurant’s interiors are French bistro through and through. Service is slick and friendly, led by the brilliant Will Smith. The wine list does not disappoint either with a wonderful focus on the Rhone valley area and an extensive selection of Chartreuse.
