Hospitality Awards 2023

AA Hotel of the Year Northern Ireland

About the award

Introduced in 1992, this award is the AA’s ultimate accolade for hotels in the UK. It is awarded to hotels that are recognised as being outstanding examples in their particular market. From the small family-run hotel to the most ambitious commercial ventures, hotels of every size and style are potential winners.

Killeavy Castle Estate, Newry, County Armagh

Killeavy Castle Estate, a recent addition to our hotel scheme, is set in its own 365 acre estate of farmland and woodland, which is part of the Ring of Gullion, this property is a great example of the successful fusion of old and new, with parts of the hotel built into the older parts of the castle. The water that powered the mill now runs through the heart of the building.

This is a destination location for the food alone which sees much of the provenance sourced from the estate, kitchen gardens and surrounding areas. A great dining experience is elevated by the panoramic countryside views. The team offers professional and attentive service with warm, genuine hospitality which further enhances the guest experience.
