About the award
Introduced in 1998, this award recognises and outstanding contribution to promoting wine understanding and appreciation. Nominees are judged on the quality of their wine list and their ability to inspire customers to make wider and more adventurous choices in selecting wines.
The Little Chartroom, Edinburgh
The Little Chartroom is a tightly packed and lively place with open brickwork and plain tables. Food is ultra-seasonal, with menus changing daily and focused on the delights of the Scottish larder. Stripped back dishes are full of flavour and perfectly timed.
Wine judging observations:
When it comes to wine, this is a list that's easy to navigate. The range is personally selected with some well chosen, eclectic bottles and the 'by the glass' offer is highly appealing.
