AA Restaurant of the Year London
About the award
Each year the AA independently inspects hundreds of restaurants across the British Isles. Introduced in 2000, this award recognises restaurants that provide cuisine of a truly excellent standard, as well as demonstrating innovation and ambience and providing a high standard of hospitality.
AngloThai, London
Just off the Edgware Road, a short walk
from Marble Arch, AngloThai is owned
and run by husband-and-wife team
John and Desiree Chantarasak.
The stylish, light-filled interior features
large windows and an open kitchen at
the rear. Hardwood tables and flooring
create a warm, natural atmosphere,
while traditional textiles and
contemporary Thai artwork bring colour
and character to the walls.
The menus offer an inventive
combination of traditional Thai recipes
and seasonal British ingredients,
creating a distinctive and confident
approach. Bold flavours, thoughtful
presentation and well-sourced produce
are the heart of the dining experience.
The team provide attentive service and
have excellent knowledge of the menu.
The main restaurant seats around 50
guests, with private dining spaces in
the basement accommodating up to 16.
