AA Restaurant of the Year London
AA Restaurant of the Year London
About the award
Each year the AA independently inspects hundreds of restaurants across the British Isles. Introduced in 2000, this award recognises restaurants that provide cuisine of a truly excellent standard, as well as demonstrating innovation and ambience and providing a high standard of hospitality.
Chez Bruce, London SW17
Chez Bruce opened in 1995 and has been a stalwart of the London dining scene ever since. It has a charming neighbourhood feel to it, set in a small row of shops, and the dining room is spacious, with plenty of natural daylight and colourful, vibrant artwork.
The restaurant does everything brilliantly and apparently effortlessly, producing top-notch modern food, based loosely on classical and regional French/ Mediterranean cuisine. Dishes are simple, unfussy and focus on great flavours, with home-made charcuterie and slow cooked braises.
Service is highly professional and there’s an excellent sommelier to match the impressive wine list.
